Perspective is something we all have. Sometimes it's good to look at the world from a different perspective to find hidden or overlooked beauty.
In researching for this shot I knew the waterfall was stunning and that the best light was around sunrise based on the direction of the opening of the canyon. I arrived at the prescribed time to take the images I had envisioned. However, because I had time I kept looking for new ways to capture the scene.
I found myself drawn to the large boulder with its mini-waterfall. Taking off my shoes, I waded into the 55(+/-)F water to compose. Long after my feet had gone numb I got what I was after.
Persistence. Perseverance. Perspective.
Don't be afraid to look at things differently. You are likely to surprise yourself with what you see.
Today, that is more important than ever. It's good to have your own thoughts but be willing to consider a different viewpoint. Seek out other perspectives. Be humble and respectful.
