The Nuorilang Waterfall was one of many in the Jiuzhaigou National Reserve. Jiuzhaigou ( 九寨沟 ) means "Nine Village Valley" and is located on the step of the Tibetan plateau in northern Sichuan Province, China. The water feeding the falls comes from a series of mountain pools.
The reserve features some of the most beautiful, untouched nature I had the pleasure of seeing in China. The park stretches from 6,500 feet elevation to over 15,000 feet in some locations. It is easier to visit with the completion of an airport that was created by blasting the top off a mountain to make enough length for a runway. The beauty of Jiuzhaigou made it one of my favorite places in China.
